Like A Boss!: Moshi Koshi Noodle Boss!

Hello Aldente!

.... is what you can most likely want to say as soon as you take a bite of Moshi Koshi Noodle Boss’s amazing noodle dishes. Moshi = Hello, Koshi=aldente! Their noodles are made fresh everyday to stay true to their Koshi name. And it’s apparent once you get resistance in every bite of the noodle. Resistance in a perfect aldente way!

A Real Head-Scratcher

Almost two. I know I keep saying this but time flies by so fast! In 3 months, my little Rainbow will be celebrating her 2nd birthday. She's already in that phase where she wants to just run around in circles or play outside with the neighbor's kids. She no longer smells like milk. She smels like sweat. Where oh where did my little helpless infant go?!?

Okay so a few weeks ago I noticed Rain started scratching her head from time to time. Uh-oh.... Could it be lice?!? I had lice when I was in elementary so I knew it all too well. So from time to time I would search hear head for any microscopic creepy crawler. None. But I could already see that she had some small scabs in her scalp from all the scratching:(

My Little Trip to SM Aura (Updated)

I have been to SM Aura a few weeks ago but I wasn't really able to go around.  So the second time I went, I made sure to look around a bit more.  To finally see the famous mall that Sarah Jessica Parker flew all the way down here for.

Trip Wish List!

If you follow my little Rainbow of a blog, you would know that Rain loves and adores Sesame Street. She also loves Mickey Mouse Club House but at this point she's really leaning more on Sesame Street. She can recognize Elmo in any shape or form. One time we were at a mall, she started saying "Emow! Emow!" I looked around and true enough there was a little kid running around with an Elmo backpack hehe.

Anyway just this afternoon she runs to me, holds my finger and drags me to whatever she wanted to show me. She dragged me over to the iPad and showed me what she was watching. It was a commercial for Sesame Place!:

Although she doesn't really talk yet, it's like she was telling me "Mommy! I want to go here!" I can definitely see Rain's delight when we do take her there. Oh how I wish we could! Hopefully when she's old enough that she remembers the trip, and yet young enough that she still loves Sesame Street hehehe :-)

Will definitely add this to our Trips Wishlist! :-) Sesame Place and of course Disney World!!!

How To Erase Crayon off Walls with Scotch Brite!

This is NOT a sponsored post!

Don't blink! There's no editing here or cuts of whatsoever! I was surprised as well! I got this sample Scotch Brite Easy Erasing Pad from a loot bag from Mom Expo. (Or was it Kid Expo?) Anyway one of the Mommy Mundo Expos. I had to lower one eye brow when I read that this sponge erases crayon and pen marks and other very tough stains WITHOUT SOAP! For real? We shall find out!

Mommy's Day Out: Coffee with Highschool Friends

Neneng shot. My high school BBFs!
Blurred photo because it was taken using a low pixel phone cam hehe.

I'm sure we all had our groups of girlfriends back in high school. That group of friends who you practically grew up with, shared the same interests in music, sports, hobbies, shared your hopes and dreams for college, and of course were there to listen to your puppy love stories. These girls were mine. And I'm glad to say that we still try to meet once in a while. It's been harder for me since I became a mom and all, and so when I finally got the chance, we all met up one fine Saturday afternoon at The Podium Mall to have some late lunch, coffee, and catch up over coffee.

Rain's Nursery: Room Painting!

I think I should have posted this yesterday as a #throwbackthursday. Oh well....

A few days ago I dug up some photos from our PC and I thought it would be fun to share here for documentation purposes. So that when Rain sees it she will know the hard work all of her Ninangs and Titas put for her! :-)

Ever since, lavander has been my favorite color. I guess it's obvious based on the color theme of my blog haha!)

The Day the Mommies Went Pole-Dancing! (Polecats Manila)

Let me share with you a secret. Once upon a time when I wasn't a mom yet, I would buy exercise videos that I can do at home alone without anyone judging me hehe. And one of my favorite videos was Carmen Electra's Strip Tease.

Counting My Blessings

It's one of those days when I feel overwhelmed with the challenges in life. Well, like anything else, this too shall pass. So I am posting this to remind me that whenever I get overwhelmed with the challenges in life, I just need to remember to count my blessings... The things that really matter...

Loving the New Gmail Tabs!

Better than labels, now I can view and organize the type of emails I receive with just one click of a tab. I can organize by Primary (my important / favorite emails), Social (Social network alerts), Promotions (newsletters, etc.) and Updates (bills, etc.). Can't get any more organized than this! :-) I think Gmail really is the coolest email service provider thingy!

Belly Blessed Fest 2013: A Festival for Expectant Moms!

Ever since I gave birth, I have been following Mommy Mundo Events knowing that they showcase the newest mommy and baby essentials from entrepreneurs left and right. I first found out about Mommy Mundo because my sister-in-law and her husband who owns Bug & Kelly would often join their bazaars. So ever since then, I was hooked. Attending a Mommy Mundo bazaar is like a kid at a candy shop, except the candies are not for you. It's for that little one who calls you Mommy :-) Which is 10 times more exciting and fulfilling than buying for yourself, am I right? :-)

With Glaiza of Moomy Musings! :-)

The year started with Kid Expo, and then Mom Expo, and then just over the weekend, Belly Blessed together with Mommy Mundo, held the Belly Blessed Fest 2013: A festival for expectant moms!  Without blinking an eye I immediately shared this event to pregnant friends on all my social media networks. It knew it was something they'd want to attend.

One More Cup of Extra Stress Please

I knew that getting married would mean that I would be gaining a few more titles in my life. From the normal administration staff (my previous office work), to becoming a household manager (next to the household CEO, my husband). And now that I have my little Rainbow, I was added the job responsibility of being a teacher, a nurse, a playmate, and eventually when Rain gets a little bit older, guidance counselor. But I never thought I would also have to be a guidance counselor to my household help! Sigh... I did not sign up for this!

Tantrums

As a parent of a growing toddler, I am able to experience a whole new world of ups and downs in parenting. Rain is so cute and adorable when she's well-behaved and / or sleeping. Hehe. But it's a whole different ball game when she's wide awake, impatient, and is persistent in playing with something that is not a toy. All of a sudden, in those moments, they're not as adorable anymore haha! (Don't make me feel guilty about saying this! I know you know what I'm talking about hahaha)

I Had The Best Caesar Salad at Mario's!

It was my first time to eat at Marios hence it was also the first time I've ever seen a Caesar Salad served table side! I was fascinated at how tedious the dressing was to make! And everything was done manually. No electronic kitchen apparatus whatsoever. I wasn't able to time how long the preparation took, but I tell you it was so worth it! It is by far the BEST caesar salad I have ever had! Ever!

Precious Tea Time with La Maison Du The at Wine Depot

Have you ever hosted a make-believe tea party with your imaginary friends when you were like 3 or 4 years old? I actually have never done that. Not to my recollection anyway. I think for Filipinos it’s usually just bahay-bahayan. I guess because tea parties are never really that common here in the Philippines. When I think “tea”, I think fancy porcelains and the queen in her royal garden.

Now that I’m older, I sometimes find myself looking for something to kind of cleanse all the fat and oil and other junk that I’ve consumed during my meal. And for some reason, I feel that tea is the drink that can do just that. I have to admit. I’m more of a coffee person than a tea person. But at some point my body does sometimes year for tea.

How to Make Homemade Play-Doh

homemade play-doh

Lately I have been fascinated in watching Play-Doh set reviews on YouTube. It's been years since I last played with a Play Doh and I never even tried playing with those dough pressers and shape molds. Just   the actual dough. So it's fun to watch different things you can do with the different varieties of Play-Doh sets.

Rain's godmother actually gave Rain a Play-Doh set and i have been itching to open it and play with it but of course I'd rather wait a year or two more until Rain can really play with it the way it's meant to be played. So imagine my delight when I saw a video in YouTube on how to make homemade Play-Doh without cooking! And with the simplest ingredients you can find on your kitchen cabinet! Thank you YouTube user BeforeandAfterTV! :-)

Edible Sensory Paint for Kids!

So happy I stumbled upon this Learn Play Imagine  blog! So Rain can practice "art" without having to worry if she'll eat the paint or crayon or whatever. Plus, it's sooo easy to make! For a moment I actually felt like a rockstar baker while making it hahaha! (Humor me)

This is like a gooey paint that makes your toddler explore some gooey texture.  It's an edible sensory paint for kids!

Day-out with my Mother In Law!

Due to the hectic schedule of The Pickiest Eater, I have been busy going places and writing. I'm not complaining. It's an awesome "job"! It's exciting that I get to travel and meet a lot of friends. (And of course eat haha)

Finally, this week, I was relieved that I Rain and I got the chance to visit my Mother in law.  I've been feeling bad that it's been weeks since we last visited. So some QT with her was perfect!

Did I tell you I had the sweetest Mother In Law ever? When Rain and I got there, she handed me a present for my birthday! Rain had fun ripping off the wrapper (just thinking about it now I should have taken her picture while opening. D'oh!)

Anyway my mom gave me two beautiful tops (the style I like too!), a very comfortable and thick leggings and three scrunchies that she made herself!!! Awwww! All these things I need because of all the events I've been attending for Richie, usually you'll see me wearing the same stuff over and over again hahaha! I'm pretty sure you've noticed!

#OOTD hehehe. Off to dinner at 7 Corners wearing my new outfit!

Great Play Ideas for Toddlers and Kids!

Found this great blog on how to make safe paint for kids. She also blogs about other play ideas, and other safe stuff a mom can make that a child or a toddler can play with using safe ingredients! I think I'll be checking her blog out from time to time. And I can't wait to make edible paint for Rain!:-) #JoyfulLearning!!! :-)
