Being a stay-at-home mom may sound easy for other people. I admit even when I was still single, my dream was to be a stay-at-home mom, take care of the household, my husband, and my kids. I thought it was going to be easy and fun because after all I'll just be staying at home. But of course I was wrong. It's not always easy. Yes I'm just at home, working over the net and taking care of my toddler at the same time. Most of the time, I am only able to write one sentence before Rain pulls me away from the computer and wants to be carried or played with. And then when I give her a bath and put her down for a nap, I am only able to nap with her unintentionally for a maximum of 10 minutes while breastfeeding before I wake up and realize there's more work to be done.
My left arm often feels very tired from carrying Rain. And sometimes I also feel back pains from working on the bed beside Rain while she sleeps at night. The computer table is in another room and Rain usually wakes up at night looking for me (and breast milk hehe) so I have to be beside her at night. There are no breaks for me. And it is physically exhausting, even when I am "JUST at home".
That's why when the good people from Bistro Group invited some bloggers to this new salon, I couldn't say no. At first I thought was a massage place. I was wrong. In a way, it's better!
KARADA is a brand of Japanese Seitai Salon (Seitai meaning body maintenance). They say it's ideal for those who suffer chronic pain ( like shoulder and back pains, unsuccessful dieting and post-pregnancy body changes). Sounds interesting already!
So as you can imagine, it's not the usual massage parlor. That's why when you go there, don't expect the place to be super quiet, super private, etc. It's more of a therapy place.
|No cheating ha? Hehehehe|
Next you will be asked to wear these comfy slippers
And will be asked to change into their black shirt and sweatpants
I wanted to take home the sweatpants. So comfy! Afterwards they will give you a small paper cup of lukewarm water to drink.
And your stuff will be placed beside your bed in a cute hamper.
Upon entering the therapy area, you'll see that it's more of an open place with the therapy beds around. It's very clean looking and there's a lot of sunlight.
No need to worry that people might see you from outside because you won't be half naked hehe.
This is a close up of the normal bed. As much as possible, KARADA therapists do the stretching and aligning themselves.
But if your bones and joints are too intense, they will be using this mechanical bed thing and it will do the stretching and aligning for them.
Though it makes loud noises when in use, they assure you that you won't really feel anything.
Your therapist will ask you a couple of questions based on your form, like what part of your body usually hurts, etc. And they will explain the treatment as they go along, which I appreciate.
We all got to try the AP Balance Treatment. AP stands for Atlas (starting from the back of the neck) and Pelvis (down to your pelvis). This treatment supposedly improves the body's condition. Sort of like resetting all your joints to factory settings hehe.
