I vividly remember using up what's left of my mental abilities to store photographic memories of the step-by-step process of swaddling, the day after I gave birth. The lactation nurse at The Medical City seemed to be the only one who could do it perfectly. Not even the other nurses could do it as neat and as snug as she did.
