Longchamp is the only branded bag I've grown to love because it's so simple, it's very sturdy, I can just dump my everyday stuff (and that's a lot!) and it still won't look too stuffed. I have to admit I didn't like it at first. But maybe that was because I haven't experienced having one at that time. But when I bought my first ever Longchamp, I slowly felt it was the perfect bag for people like me who have to carry lots of things in their bag everyday, but still look classy but laid back.
I bought my first one at Lazada. It was a LONGCHAMP PLANETES, Large with a long handle. I was worried at first that it might be a fake one. But fortunately, after researching and checking for indicators of a fake Longchamp bag, it passed. And when you hold it it really feels like top quality.
Disclaimer (Update):Before I go on, I would first like to say that I'm not a bag expert. Everything is just based on my comparison and research on the net.I'm merely a mom who wanted to buy something nice for myself online. And also, I am not guarantying that this online shop sells 100% authentic bags. This is just based on my personal experience :-) As always, buy at your own risk, and do your due diligence in researching before buying :-)
Moving on, Lazada delivered it to me in a plastic, with the Longchamp paperbag folded inside.
Here it is! LONGCHAMP PLANETES Large Long Handle Bag (Violet)
Compared to the normal Le Pliage (brown leather flaps), the LONGCHAMP PLANETES doesn't have diamond criss cross marks on it, or the Le Pliage Neo's checkerd texture . This one is just smooth.
The inside snap reads ORIGINAL LONGCHAMP - Check! And you can also faintly see the mark of the logo at the back. - Check!
Clear plastic disc by the snap -- Check!
Clear and detailed Longchamp logo
Correct spelling and accents on the letter E. - Check!
Handles are flat - Check!
Small precise stitching - Check!
Zipper has YKK and T on the top side part, and T on the base part of the zipper's arc. - Check!
Plastic tag on the interior of the bag
Interior of the bag. I like that it's made of some sort of rubber so it's so easy to clean in case something spills.
UPDATE!!!:Thank you to an anonymous user who commented, she pointed out a difference in the zipper of my bag and a Lonchamp Le Pliage Neo having big plastic zipper teeth. This is when I realized that I mixed up the name of this bag with my other bag. This one in this post is the LONGCHAMP PLANÈTES tote. (Not Le Pliage Neo as I originally stated). So I have already updated the blog post :-) Thank you again! :-)
Also another update, seems like the LONGCHAMP PLANÈTES model has been discontinued (http://forum.purseblog.com/longchamp/longchamp-le-planetes-being-discontinued-866022.html)
