It was such excellent timing that I got the pleasure to try an amazing Italian Apericena buffet the other day just when I was badly craving for a risotto from watching Hell's Kitchen the night before. And I was extra lucky to be tasting regional dishes created by a multi-awarded Italian Chef, Chef Salvatore de Vincentis. And lucky for us all, he will be serving as an informal ambassador of the country’s cuisine during a two-month promotional series at Seda hotels throughout the country called La Buona Cucina Italiana.
The La Buona Cucina Italiana's concept is Apericena, which in layman's term basically means tasting portions presented in a beautiful way. Although they are served in small portions, don't forget that this is a buffet. Which means you can go back and get more. And I'm telling you, I sure did get full quick!
Here's a quick photo gallery of the spread!

I probably came back for these the most! I love Prosciutto!

And for dessert...
As soon as I saw the dessert spread, I couldn't wait to get into it. I was so excited to try it that I think I may have rushed through the savory dishes. And as soon as I got to try it, it did not disappoint!

This was my favorite! The filling oozes happily out of the donut!

“I always cook with all my heart because diners can sense a chef’s passion in the way the food is presented. I wish for everyone to have a fabulous dining experience. My message is simple: sit, eat, and enjoy!” - Chef Salvatore de Vincentis
For the Apericena, you can enjoy this at only Php500++ per head. But you can also have the apericena as a complimentary accompaniment for the Wine Buffet for only Php1,000++ .
