PASS Deluxe Egg Decorating Kit: A Cool Way of Decorating Eggs!

        My brother in law Ryan just came back from the states a few days ago and look what he got for the kids for Easter Sunday! PAAS Egg Decorating Kit! Apparently it's America's  favorite Easter Tradition. And I can see why!

One Decorating Kit includes:

• Small stickers (96 pcs.)
• 12 egg stands
• 9 dye tablets (non-toxic)
• 6 Egg Arounds
• 2 egg dippers
• A magic crayon
• 1 memory board (which is a mini card matching game)
• 1 drying tray (which is the back of the box)

        It's pretty easy to create. But little kids would still need adult supervision. Especially for the Egg Arounds.

        First you dissolve a color tablet with 1 teaspoon of water or vinegar. At least that's what the box says. But in our experience, it took a while for the tablets to dissolve with just water. When we tried vinegar, it dissolved much quicker. Just be careful to keep it away from your face because the vinegar fumes shoots up your nose, to your throat and it's not a fun feeling hehe. There's also a note on the box that says for better results, pink goes better with water, and purple goes better with vinegar. So anyway, once the tablets are dissolved, add half a cup of room temperature water.

        Next, it's time to dip the eggs! Bend the hoop part of the egg dipper wires so it looks like a ladle. Place the egg there carefully and slowly dip it into the color of your choice. The longer you submerge the egg, the deeper the color. So if your kids are not so patient like most kids are, they come out in pastel shades which still looks very cute!

        If your kids want to use the magic crayon (a.k.a. colorless wax / candle), they should draw use it first to draw whatever they want on the egg before dipping it on the colored water. It's quite challenging because you can't see what you're drawing. So Rain just made some scribbles.

        This is how the egg looks like with the magic crayon. I did the swirls and Rain did the abstract one ;-) I guess you need to write harder for better effects. Careful not to crack those shells!

The stickers are fun too! I mean who doesn't like sticking stickers?

        And my favorite, the Egg Arounds! They're plastics sheets with super cute designs printed on them. Fit one around an egg. Then using a hair dryer, you sort of melt it around the egg so it hugs the egg perfectly. Another option is to dip the egg with the Egg Arounds in hot water. But I think the hair dryer is easier. That's why kids need supervision with this part.

        The designs are really super cute! Down side: They don't really require as much creativity in terms of designing your egg.

        BUT! My sister had a great idea! Look how she did it with this one! She cut it into a strip. Looks pretty good! My brother Ryan also experimented with dyeing more than one color and it turned out well too! (Yes you can guess that the adults were having fun too!)

        And then when you're done with all the decorating, use the egg stands for showing off your finished product!

        Rain and her cousins had a lot of fun with this cool Easter egg decorating kit!
