And for me, being a 90s kid, felt the cool factor of Oishi Snacktacular 2016 went up even more because of its 8-bit theme! It made me feel like a kid again! Plus, of course, the factor that their newest Team O member is Maine Mendoza!!!
I was unfortunately unable to make it to this event but good thing my good friend King Patrick was more than willing to attend on my behalf. Thank you King!
The Oishi Snacktacular 2016 was a 3-day event held at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall which started on July 15 until July 17. As expected, it was loads of fun! Entrance is free, and then there's a small fee per booth when you play the games. But the fees are totally worth it because of what you'll be bringing home!
King went during the last day, because that was the day that Maine was going to finally be introduced as the newest member of Team O! There were a loooooot of people but according to King it was totally worth it!
After all, it's not everyday you get to see your favorite actress go on a Snack Catcher!
And as usual, she was hilarious! This is one of the things I like about her. Not finicky, not too girly, not pretentious! And doesn't get shy to look goofy all the time.
And Maine goes as she's lowered down to the pile of snacks! Will she be able to grab lots of snacks?
I guess so!
She even got a lot using her legs hahaha! Way to go Maine!!!
And after, she shared all her snack catch to the audience.
I was too chicken to try it myself last year. But I'm kind of doubting it now because I also kind of want to know if I'll be able to grab lots of snacks with my not-so-long arms and legs hahaha!
Aside from playing the Snack Catcher, Maine stayed along with fellow Team O Member Ramon Bautista to give away more prizes....
to have a selfie with the even crazier Mon...
to have a selfie with the fans...
and just plainly have fun!!
Oishi Snactacular has been known to set up super fun booths where you can literally grab lots of Oishi goodies!
The O-Twirl booth is a brick game-looking booth where you can get your Oishi Choco Chug soft-serve ice cream! A piece of "brick" slides down towards you with a yummy cup of cold and smooth Oishi Choco Chug ice cream! And then after, you can pick 2 different Oishi toppings.
The Oishi Snack Shack is where you can hoard snacks as much as the provided Oishi bag can fit. Anything that overflows out of the bag will be taken out. You have to be able to close the bag.
At the Make Your Own Snack, for a fee of only P20, you can mix and match loads of different Oishi snacks and put them in a snack paper bag for munching! You can mix sweet and salty or even add some spicy ones! Sky's the limit!
And when you're tired from all the fun activities, you can head on over to the pacman-inspired booth and grab a refreshing cold Oishi Smart-C slushie.
