Easy Scampi Pasta Recipe with Filippo Berio Olive Oil

        For someone like me who is not gifted in cooking, and is too lazy to learn how, easy recipes are heaven sent. Recipes where only a handful of ingredients are needed. But doesn’t mean quality or nutritional value will suffer. Especially when you make sure you only use the finest ingredients that your whole family will benefit from.

        That’s why I get a kick out of those quick viral recipe videos on Facebook. It’s also where I saw an easy scampi pasta recipe that I tried making last weekend. It was perfect because I have been wanting to use our stash of Filippo Berio Olive Oils!

        The brand Filippo Berio started back in 1850 in Luca, Tuscany. A place that is famous for its olive oils. So needless to say, Filippo Berio is the real thing. Because they have been known for meticulously picking only the finest olives for their products. 

        I’m no expert. But you can already tell from the aroma of the oil that it’s definitely top-quality. The oil is made from the first cold-pressing of the finest olives. You know it’s Filippo Berio when you see the deep greenish-gold color. It’s rich in flavor and has low acidity. This makes them the top choice when it comes to olive oil.

        Let me share with you this easy Scampi Pasta recipe I made (Fine, our cook made), using Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil:

EASY SCAMPI PASTA RECIPE

Ingredients:

•  Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil
•  Shrimps
•  Spaghetti (or fettuccini. Up to you!)
•  Minced Garlic
•  Chilli flakes
•  Salt and pepper to taste

        First, cook the pasta and then set aside.  Next, on a frying pan, dump the minced garlic and sauté it with some Filippo Berio Olive Oil.

        Once the garlic turns into a golden brown color, dump in the shrimps. Cook shrimps until they turn orange.

        As you can see we used a lot. But this is because oil-based pasta is a hit with Richie and my dad. So we always need to make a big batch haha!

        Once this is done, dump in the pasta, chilli flakes, and you’re also supposed to add parsley but I forgot to buy some haha! Then just mix everything evenly.  That’s it!

        It’s so easy, and the fact that Filippo Berio olive oil is a much healthier alternative than other cooking oils gives it even more value for money.

        Filippo Berio has got lots of different variants that will make a home-maker happy with the tons of recipes they can make. There’s something for every member of the family. I can make delicious and refreshing salads for myself when I feel like eating healthy and take a break from my favorite processed food (yikes!).         And aside from the scampi pasta, I’m really really excited to make pesto pasta for the very first time with the Filippo Berio pesto! Or a tomato-based pasta using Filipp Berio’s That will be my next experiment!
