Strong Woman Do Bong Soon Shooting Location: Dobong Walnut Bakery

Do Bong Walnut Bakery

After watching Goblin for about 10 times, there were 2 other Korean dramas that I got addicted to. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo (my most favorite, saving that for last!) and JTBC's Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. I thought it was funny that both dramas depicted strong female leads (literally), but trust me, the story is very different. But both are very charming in their own ways!

So anyway one of my to-visit lists was the Dobong Walnut Bakery from Strong Woman Do Bong Soon... if I had time, and if I could find it. Luckily, because of all the South Korean Travel blogs from hard-core K-Drama fans, we were able to easily find it!

Do Bong Walnut Bakery

While still inside our cab, I already saw it right away. The logo caught my eye!

This is the photo of the building.

This building is right across it. So as soon as you see this, it's time to go down from your cab or bus.

This is the street sign on the corner.

We're here!!! The real name is Plate B Cafe, by the way!

Do Bong Walnut Bakery

Confirmed! I'm in the right place :-) I'm so happy and kilig! That's Bong Bong, Min Min,
and Guk Du!

Do Bong Walnut Bakery

I got even more kilig upon seeing the inside. First time to get fluttered by a pastry counter haha!

Do Bong Walnut Bakery

The take-out boxes used in the show is still there on display <3 Fact: The nice lady behind the counter is the real owner. She's super nice and speaks a bit of English :-)

Luckily the table by the window was available. It was used a lot in the series.

A shot from inside looking out. Right across was where character Ahn Min Hyuk parked his car, and this is the glass window where the parents and amigas of Do Bong Soon's mom were gawking at them in awe.

There they go!

Here I am pretending to gawk at them as well haha!

And in case you were wondering, yes they do really serve walnut pies!

Do Bong Walnut Bakery

How was it? Honestly, it was nothing mind-blowing (No offense to owner Unnie!) Maybe it would have been a lot better if we went earlier and it was freshly baked. Perfect with coffee though!

Do Bong Walnut Bakery

There wasn't a lot of customers yet when we were there so we took our time finishing our order (which gave me enough time to really enjoy every minute!) It was also my perfect opportunity to check off another to-do list for my Seoul trip: Walk around a typical South Korea neighborhood!

Do Bong Walnut Bakery

I thought this small alley looked pretty so I took a photo of it. Fast forward to 2 months later...

I was re-watching Strong Woman and then realized that that alley was also used in one scene! Bonus!!!

Thankful for the invention of the internet and other K-Drama fanatics blog post for sharing the instructions on how to get there. I followed the detailed instructions from Travel with Karla in this link. (Thank you Karla for your instructions!)

So basically you ride the subway going to Sookmyung Women’s University Station, and then exit at Exit 3. As soon as you step out of exit 3, just keep walking straight. Until you see a bus stop. About a 2-minute walk away.

When you see the bus station, get on board Bus 202. You may also take a cab and show them the address below:

Seoul, Yongsan-gu, Huamdong 415-1 서울 용산구 두텁바위로 89 후암동 415-1

And that's it! We took the bus going back to our AirBnB which didn't seem far at all. With Seoul's amazing Subway, you feel like you can really go anywhere.

Would I go back here at Plate B? Definitely! It's a nice cozy and charming cafe to hang out in and chat the afternoon away! (Plus of course the fact that Park Hyung Sik and Park Bo Young was here!!!!!! <3 Oh my K-Drama heart is full!

'Till next time! 다음에 또 봐!!!

You can think about them through an online car credit specialist. Numerous auto dealerships work with them as well. 3. Pretty much the only chance you have of accidentally buying a Breitling these days is via a transaction with some private seller who claim "not to know whether a Breitling watches is real or not." That usually means it is fake. So yes, caveat emptor is still a good policy, are mostly on the wrists of people who know they are wearing fakes. For me the most important issue in this entire article is a discussion of whether or not Replica Valentino Handbags are a good alternative to the real thing (minus the legal implications of course). The answer is almost universal that they are an extremely poor alternative to the real Valentino handbags thing.
